BALLOON BOOM BOOM
The Edition hotel, owned by Ian Schrager —founder of the legendary Studio 54— commissioned me to design ornaments for its Christmas tree.
Instead, I proposed creating the entire tree itself.
I reimagined the classic Christmas bauble to build a 4-metre installation suspended at the centre of its majestic spiral staircase.
This piece —the first installation of my career— is made of 999 fully biodegradable balloons.
